Markree Castle is nestled in the Co. Sligo countryside and not far from the Wild Atlantic Way. Steeped in history and tucked away on its very own 500-acre estate this venue offers absolutely everything a couple could want.
It was no surprise then that Charlotte and Christopher chose to celebrate their marriage there.
It may have been wet and windy outside but there was a warmth and excitement growing inside the Castle as both Bride and Groom prepared to take centre stage. Markree Castle holds the distinct advantage of having a Chapel within the Castle and adorned with flowers from The Wildflower this was the perfect place for the couple to be wed in the company of their close family.
A little break in the weather allowed us not only some photos outside but an impromptu first dance as well! We had the luxury of having the Castle to ourselves so even when the rain returned there were still an abundance of delightful indoor options, including the ever so elegant dining room.
With an intimate dinner, speeches and an exquisite meal all wrapped up we thought there was no better way to finish than some celebratory sparklers and of course another little dance!
In spite of the restrictions everything fell into place for Charlotte & Christopher. This beautifully styled Wedding is one we’ll not forget!
Here’s to the happy couple!
