A super chic, yet chilled celebration at Drenagh Estate, one of the most charming wedding venues in Northern Ireland.

It is always a pleasure to return to the beautiful parkland of Drenagh Estate, a place that has brought so many wedding dreams to life. We have had the privilege of shooting many festivities at this location in the past, and this year we were treated to another, the marriage of Rachel and Trevor. A sweet and generous couple who put together a sophisticated celebration that was as enchanting, as it was loving.

Drenagh Country Estate: A Wedding Venue Much-Loved by the Family

As we mentioned, Drenagh Estate is one of our favourite wedding venues in Northern Ireland, but Rachel’s family could be bigger fans than us. As not only did Rachel tie the knot there, but so did her sister, Rebecca. We had the pleasure of also being Rebecca’s wedding photographer when she married Samuel a few years ago, in what was an equally elegant affair. Rachel obviously fell hard for the Georgian charms of Drenagh Estate during her sisters’ wedding, and subsequently knew it should also play host to hers one day.

An Italian Escape in the Heart of Limavady

Tying the knot at the Drenagh Estate feels so otherworldly compared to many of the other wedding venues in the area. Strolling around the grounds, you feel as though you must have been on a short-haul flight to get there, with its Italian style gardens and romantic outdoor spots. Rachel and Trevor made the most of the pleasant weather on the day of their nuptials, and hosted their ceremony outdoors in the magical ‘Moon Garden’. A rustic, intimate place to exchange wedding vows with its stone walls, unique circular entrance and pristine marquee.

Every Detail Styled to Perfection

Rachel and Trevor were certain that they wanted refinement in every element of their celebrations. They had been waiting a long time for their big day, and they were not prepared to settle for anything less than the best. And so, the pair went all out with their wedding suppliers, hiring only the finest, and most talented individuals in the country to supply their nuptials. Together, they created a ceremony and reception that felt grand and graceful from start to finish. And a look that lived up precisely to how Rachel had imagined it would, during all those months of planning.

Opulence with Heart

For all the chic and handsome detailing that Rachel and Trevor had so carefully curated for their big day, there was just as much love, and fun to be found throughout the occasion. Their Drenagh Estate wedding may have been pristine, but it never felt stuffy. All of their loved ones were always super chilled, and visibly revelled in the opportunity to celebrate with their friends and family.

Intimate Portraits & Carefree Moments

As wedding photographers in Northern Ireland, its vital for us that we not only capture those much-needed portraits of the family. But also those moments in-between. And the Drenagh Estate offers so many opportunities for relaxed wedding photography with friends, alongside cosy times with the bride and groom. In particular, the get-ready rooms provided a wonderfully chic backdrop to morning preparations with Rachel and her girls. While the extensive Italian gardens gifted us the opportunity to capture bride and groom within an intimate, sophisticated setting, both at night and during the day….

We would like to thank Rachel and Trevor for giving us the opportunity to capture their stunning wedding at Drenagh Estate. They were a lovely couple from moment one, and a joy to work with throughout their nuptials. We wish them the very best for their future together, and congratulations again for tying the knot!
